The best strawberry smoothie is ultra creamy and tastes like strawberries and cream. Easy, quick and a total delight to the tastebuds.
So I did go ahead and call this the best strawberry smoothie. It’s a bold claim I know.
In fact you might wonder where I get off making such a claim. And I totally get it. When I’m browsing Pinterest and I see a recipe called ‘the best xyz’ I usually think to myself: Well, have you tried mine? How do you know yours is the best?
And yet here I am calling this strawberry smoothie recipe ‘the best’.
Why This Is The Best
The flavor of this smoothie is just pure strawberry. Loads of smoothies containing strawberries are pretty darn delicious, but usually there are competing flavors.
Not so with this smoothie. It has a very strong strawberries and cream vibe but the strongest flavor that comes through is strawberry. Everything else simply complements the strawberry flavor. And it’s simply divine.
And if you just love strawberries then you’ll also love our strawberry banana smoothie and our strawberry mango smoothie.
What Goes Into This Smoothie:
Ingredient Notes
- Maple syrup – sweetens up this smoothie to the perfect level. If you prefer not to have added sweetener in your smoothies then you can leave it out.
- Fresh and frozen strawberries – we use both in this smoothie so that we get heaps of flavor and an ice cold delicious smoothie.
- Cashew butter – adds heaps of creaminess with a neutral flavor.
- Almond milk – works wonderfully with this smoothie but you can also use a different non-dairy milk.
- Raw cashews – are blended in to make this smoothie creamy and delicious and taste just like strawberries and cream.
How To Make A Strawberry Smoothie
You will find full instructions and measurements in the recipe card at the bottom of the post. This is a summary of the process to go along with the process photos.
- Add the ingredients to the blender jug starting with almond milk, then cashews, cashew butter, maple syrup, frozen strawberries and fresh strawberries.
- Blend very well until completely smooth.
- Pour out into glasses and serve.
Smoothie Storage
Smoothies are usually best served right away, and you’ll see on most of my smoothie recipes, I advise you to drink it immediately. But THIS vegan strawberry smoothie actually stores well! It’s likely because there are no other fruits except strawberries.
So if you do have leftovers, then cover and refrigerate and enjoy within 1-2 days. It may separate slightly but give it a good shake or stir and drink up.
